HEALTH AWARENESS COACHING
by Cherie Valley dba Valley Wellness

"Decrease expectations and open yourself up to possibilities".

I bring this enthusiasm and philosophy to my practice.  Our bodies and lifestyles are all different so why should we think that one fitness program or nutrition program would work for all of us.  At Valley Wellness I cater to people as individuals. "Health awareness" is my primary focus.  Believing that being fit and healthy can be accomplished through enjoying diverse activities and food choices.  I use the approach that a healthy lifestyle makes a healthy mind, body and spirit.

During a first free appointment we will review your needs and how a plan we disscuss together can assist you in achieving your goals.  See below for options:

NUTRITION ADVISOR

My philosophy on nutrition is that we have many choices and need to be educated and develop a mindset to make the right ones to accomplish lifestyle goals.   Today's food options are so broad and the media information so confusing that anyone can get stuck into making the less healthy choice.  I will explore your lifestyle and mindset. Together we will explore what works best for you.  I love to cook and provide clients with healthy recipes.  I will help you incorporate a healthful easy-access way to eating "on the run" never forgetting, "there is always room to indulge".

My different services include Nutrition counseling:
  1. Individual one-to-one
  2. Pantry analysis
  3. Internet counseling
  4. Kids' nutrition
  5. Sports specific

Biography
"There are many great activities and not enough time to enjoy them all".

Before moving to Seattle, I was a fitness director and aerobics director at clubs in the San Francisco Bay area.  I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics and Exercise Physiology at Chico State University, California.  Although I had the option to work in a hospital setting, I decided instead to involve myself in health and fitness instead.  I have been in the industry for over 20 years.  I recently quit my high stress corporate sales job to focus solely on my passion - helping others accomplish and exceed their wellness goals.
In my younger years I competed in many different sports such as gymnastics, downhill skiing, water skiing and volleyball.  I continue to take time out to downhill-ski, water-ski, play volleyball, take yoga classes, hiking, backpacking and mountain biking.   I also love spending time with my family friends and dog.

I look forward to meeting with you and achieving your goals together.  Call for a free assessment.
